Flopstar Blog’s Favorite Songs Of 2013 (Numbers 30-21)

30. BoA – Disturbance
This tender ballad was not even an official single, but rather just a promo single for BoA’s first ever solo concert in Korea. The video features different endings you can pick, and the song is truly lush.

29. Janet Leon – Heartstrings
Janet Leon was robbed at Melodifestivalen 2013. This big diva anthem slayed the fuck out of me upon first listen. Witness Janet’s shocking and defining talents below.

28. The United – Stay Young
With One Direction being the most boring boy band on earth right now, it’s so great to know we still have true talent out there! This pan-European boy band is exactly the type of act that inspired this blog.

27. Erik Segerstedt & Tone Damli – Hello Goodbye
A country/folk weepy ballad about having a drunk 1 night stand with a fugly slut only to regret it in the morning? Taylor Swift could never.

26. Wallpaper. – Puke My Brains Out
Wallpaper. has a talent for writing music about my life. This track is basically the soundtrack to my summer. AA meetings not included.

25. Selena Gomez – Slow Down
Just like with Ke$ha’s “Blow,” Britney Spears “Till The World Ends,” RaNia’s “Up,” and Blush’s “Up Up & Away,” the music industry loves selling the exact same song over and over again. Lets just say I hope they sell it to me again next year.

24. Miley Cyrus & Britney Spears – SMS (Bangerz)
The greatest thing about this track is that is fell right out of Britney’s iconic “Blackout” sessions. It’s noisy, hectic, and kind of a mess, but it’s also completely genius. I ultimately hoped the entire album would sound like this track!

23. André Zuniga – One Shot Only
What a find. I randomly found this song on a blog at the beginning of summer and it dominated my 2nd half of 2013. It makes me want to throw a pool party that never ends.

22. Namie Amuro – Alive
Namie is the queen of singing phonetic English music. She probably has no idea what she is singing about, but I can basically guess whoever wrote this song wrote it about a really amazing trip on ecstasy at a rave as the sun is coming up.

21. Girls Generation – LOVE & GIRLS
Girls Generation stay slaying the competition with this addictive summer classic. The dance routine is basically my daily showering ritual come to life.
