Wrecking Ball has also been released as the official second single from the album, and it is a solid ballad similar to her previous top notch ballads The Climb, When I Look At You and Stay, with a huge chorus and solid vocals. It isn’t exactly the single I personally wanted from Bangerz, as the album title alludes to a record full of risky floor fillers, not safe weepy break up ballads. We have yet to hear a single “banger” from this era; We Can’t Stop was an nontraditional banger, but it’s time for Miley to deliver. The good news is Bangerz will have 16 tracks on it, so the likelihood there will be a total crunk as fuk track on there is very high. I still have hope the album will slay, even if Wrecking Ball is only so-so. Also, am I the only one who hears “and all you did was rape me” during the chorus? Disturbing.
