David Lindgren’s “Move That Thing” Review

Melodifestivalen legend David Lindgren has finally released the 2nd single from his solid but slumpy sophomore album Ignite The Beat, entitled Move That Thing. David has always been an odd choice for sexy club banger dance pop. He comes off more like a charming kindergarten substitute teacher rather than a sleek pop heartthrob, but he makes solid dance pop so who cares. Move That Thing is another solid floor filler. I mean, Darin wrote it so you know it wouldn’t be bad, but it’s not quite good enough to match anything on his Exit album.
Lord Lindgren has been pretty consistent with his clubby dance pop output thus far, so it’s nice to see him continue this. I just hope this track doesn’t become an unnecessary flop, like his iconic Rendezvous did. Also, homeboi needs to finally release an official music video!
