Jessie J’s Cements Herself As Worst Pop Singer Of This Generation With “It’s My Party”

Image

For the last 2 years I have been seriously debating myself who the worst pop singer of recent history is. The criteria I have taken into account is made up of some of the following: are they at least hot? What is their sense of style like? How many bad songs to they have? And what is the ratio of good:bad? Do they even have a good song at all?

Some of the artists that have both come and gone on this mental list of mine at any given time have been: Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, Rita Ora, ECT.

Jessie J has also spent a lot of time on this list, actually never leaving it. Her extremely cheap, 3rd tier material has always annoyed the shit out of me. Dominoes was the type of track that sounded like half of Hollywood Records Disney Channel artists would pass on, Price Tag was possibly the most annoyingly generic song of its year, and Wild was only decent when she wasn’t being featured on it.

With her new single release, It’s My Farty, Jessie is back at being as generic as she possibly can again. The track is basically something Katy Perry and P!nk passed on before Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato took a pass,

The video is unwatchable. Jessie sits on a fake set and looks around for 3 minutes. That’s literally it. There is some fake partying going on but it’s not a party I would want to go to.

This bitch and Rita Ora need to get dropped as soon as possibly. If the label decides to keep them around, at least give them a decent track.
